The tree of the variety is medium-sized, characterized by a vertical, open, vase-shaped canopy. The variety is self-incompatible and requires cross-pollination with varieties such as Bing, Brooks, or Sweetheart.

The fruits are medium-sized with a bright red skin color. The flesh is characterized by juiciness, firmness, a sweet taste with a slight acidity, and a pronounced aroma. The ripening period is early or medium-early, occurring 5–7 days before the ripening of the Bing variety.

The variety has low chilling requirements, which allows it to be grown in regions with a mild climate. It is valued in commercial horticulture due to its good storage and transportation performance.
