The variety is the result of the selection of local populations. The tree reaches 3–4 meters in height. Fruiting begins in the 3–4th year after planting; yields are regular and at a medium level. Relatively late flowering allows the variety to avoid damage from spring frosts.
Fruits are of medium size, weighing 5–7 g, and have thin, shiny skin of a bright red or purple-red color. The juicy cherry-red flesh has a mildly acidic taste, and the pit separates well. The variety is characterized as self-fertile.
