Variety description

10 August 2026

The rootstock is a hybrid of sweet cherry (Prunus avium L.) and mahaleb cherry (Prunus pseudocerasus Lind.). The plant is characterized by ease of vegetative propagation via hardwood and softwood cuttings.

Trees grafted onto this rootstock are most often semi-dwarfing, although the vigor may vary depending on irrigation conditions. The rootstock shows good compatibility with most sweet cherry varieties, is resistant to Phytophthora root rot, bacterial canker, and stem pitting, but is sensitive to crown gall, soil drought, and has low winter hardiness.
