The variety was obtained as part of a breeding program of the French National Institute of Agricultural Research (INRA). The fruits are distinguished by large size and high firmness.
The plant is susceptible to fruit cracking during rainy weather. When grown on a dwarfing rootstock, a low fruit set percentage is observed, which requires the use of agrotechnical practices to improve fruiting.
