The variety AGEN SKOPELOU is a traditional European plum cultivar of folk selection, adapted to the climatic conditions of the island of Skopelos in Greece. The plant belongs to the late-maturing category.
Fruits at the maturity stage have a black color. According to research results, the fruits are characterized by a high content of phenolic compounds, the level of which in fresh weight varies from 2032.6 to 2400.5 mg GAE/kg. The primary economic use of the variety is for drying and the production of prunes.
