The fruits of the variety are medium to large in size, ranging from round to oval in shape. Their skin is dark blue or dark purple, often with a waxy bloom. The juicy and firm flesh is yellow-green in color and has a sweet taste with a slight fresh note.
Harvest maturity under the climatic conditions of Belgium usually occurs in August. Since the fruits do not ripen simultaneously, it is recommended to harvest in several stages. The variety is vigorous, reaching a height of 4–6 meters, and has good winter hardiness.
The variety is not self-fertile and requires cross-pollination for full fruiting. In international practice, the variety is often used as a reference when conducting tests for distinctness, uniformity, and stability.
