Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is a classic European plum belonging to the prune group. The tree has a vigorous growth habit, reaching 4–5 meters in height at maturity with a crown width of about 3 meters. The variety is self-fertile and sufficiently winter-hardy, withstanding frosts down to -19...-23 °C.

The medium-sized fruits have an oval-elongated asymmetrical shape and dark purple or blue-black skin with a waxy bloom. The yellow-green or golden-orange flesh is characterized by firmness, moderate juiciness, and a free-stone pit. The taste of the fruits is balanced, sweet with a slight acidity.

Harvesting takes place in September. The fruits are versatile in use: they are suitable for both fresh consumption and for making jams, pies, brandy, or dried prunes due to their ability to retain shape during processing. It is recommended to avoid planting in waterlogged soils.
