The Basaricatta plum variety, also known as Collotorto or Damaschina Gialla, is a historical variety with upright branches. The plant is noted for high productivity and early fruit ripening dates.
The fruits have an elongated, teardrop or pear-like shape with a characteristic neck at the base of the stalk. The skin is golden-yellow, and the flesh is also yellow, firm, aromatic, and sweet in taste. The variety is suitable for transportation and fresh consumption.
