The variety is mid-late, with fruits ripening in the second ten-day period of August. Trees are characterized by vigorous growth, reaching a height of 3.0–3.5 meters. The variety is self-incompatible (self-sterile); for pollination, President, Stanley, and other varieties with similar flowering times are recommended.
Fruits are large, weighing from 44.6 to 80 g, and have a slightly elongated ellipsoidal shape. The skin is blue-violet, the flesh is yellow, acquiring an orange hue as it ripens. The flesh is distinguished by high density; fruits are capable of remaining on the tree for a long time after ripening.
The variety is used as a dessert plum and is promising for commercial cultivation. No information confirming the breeding number 10-91 in connection with the name August Delight has been found in open sources.
