The variety «Bijelica jajara» is a landrace variety and part of the regional biodiversity of Eastern Croatia. By botanical classification, it belongs to Prunus domestica L. subsp. insititia (L.) C. K. Schneid.
This genotype is used in traditional gardening of the region and is mentioned in the context of the production of national alcoholic beverages, such as slivovitz. The variety is included in national genetic resource conservation programs.
