The BIJELA_SITNA tree reaches a height of up to 6 meters and forms a large amount of root suckers. The variety is characterized by high adaptability, tolerates frost and drought well, as well as heavy and moist soils, but shows susceptibility to Plum pox virus.
Due to its good compatibility with most apricot varieties and ease of propagation, this variety is often used as a rootstock. The fruits are traditionally used for processing into alcoholic distillates.
1 jurisdiction
Green indicates countries where the variety is listed in the national catalogue and its seeds are authorized for sale. Expired registrations are marked separately: the variety was previously admitted, but sale is no longer permitted.
