The variety represents an improved form of the classic Besztercei plum. It is characterized by high fruit flavor quality and a valuable chemical composition, which makes its fruit suitable for universal application.
The plant is self-fertile and differs from the original variety in relative ease of cultivation. In nursery production, seedlings of this variety are often grafted onto Myrobalan rootstock.
