Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is a vigorous tree up to 6 meters in height with a dense spherical crown. The fruits are round-shaped, blue with a waxy bloom, and have yellow-green juicy flesh that does not separate easily from the pit. The variety matures in late September or the first half of October.

The plant is self-fertile and flowers late. The variety is demanding of soil conditions: it prefers deep, fertile, and moist soils. It is prone to crown thickening and crop overload, therefore it requires regular pruning. The variety is susceptible to Plum pox virus and moniliosis.

The fruits are poorly suited for fresh consumption due to average taste qualities, therefore they are traditionally used for making fruit butter, jams, drying, and distillates. In the past, the variety was also used as a rootstock for stone fruits.
