The Kongeblomme tree reaches a height of about 3 meters and has an open, sparse crown. The variety matures in mid-August. Fruits are round in shape with skin ranging from orange to purple; the flesh is firm, moderately juicy, yellow, with good flavor and aroma. The stone separates easily from the flesh.
The variety is historical for Northern Europe and is used primarily as a dessert variety for personal consumption. In some pomological sources, the variety was considered in the context of other plum species, however, genetic studies distinguish it as a separate object.

Green indicates countries where the variety is listed in the national catalogue and its seeds are authorized for sale. Expired registrations are marked separately: the variety was previously admitted, but sale is no longer permitted.
