The Valjevka tree has a dense, widely branched pyramidal crown. Fruits weighing from 22 to 45 g have a round-elongated shape and are covered with a silvery waxy bloom. The yellow flesh is characterized by firmness, juiciness, and a sweet-and-sour taste. The variety is early-bearing and productive; it bears fruit on one-year-old wood and fruit spurs.
The plant possesses tolerance to Plum pox virus, where external symptoms of infection often do not appear on the fruits. The variety exhibits moderate susceptibility to Polystigma rubrum and rust, and is sensitive to blossom blight (Monilinia laxa) while showing relative resistance to fruit rot.
The variety has a universal use. Due to the firm structure of the flesh and high sugar content, the fruits are suitable for fresh consumption, production of dried fruits, and processing, including the production of alcoholic beverages.
