The variety is a vigorous tree with a wide spreading crown and drooping branches, reaching a height of 2.5 to 6 meters depending on the rootstock. The fruits are medium-sized, oval or egg-shaped, with purple-violet or blue-black skin covered in a waxy bloom. The golden-yellow or orange flesh is distinguished by its juiciness, sweetness, and ease of separation from the stone.
The plant is winter-hardy, withstanding frosts down to -30°C, and prefers fertile, humic, and permeable soils. The variety is self-incompatible, therefore requiring the presence of pollinator varieties nearby. Due to a tendency for fruit overloading, biennial bearing may occur, which requires careful crown formation.
