The variety is an autochthonous Sicilian genetic resource. It belongs to the group of mid-flowering and mid-maturing varieties and is self-compatible.
The quality of the product is characterized by a low percentage of double kernels (less than 20%) and one of the highest skin yield indicators among the studied samples, at approximately 8.78%. The variety is distinguished by a high concentration of phenylethyl alcohol in the composition of its volatile organic compounds.
