The variety was obtained by crossing Cristomorto and Ai. The tree is characterized by high growth energy, a semi-open crown shape, and sparse branching. The variety is late-blooming, which allows it to avoid spring frosts, and it matures in the mid-late period, in September.

The plant is self-incompatible and requires the presence of pollinator varieties such as Ferraduel, Ferrastar, or Tuono. The variety has good resistance to Monilinia, but can be susceptible to Clasterosporium carpophilum.

The fruits are large, with a kernel yield of 35–45%. The percentage of double kernels is very low, at 1–2%, which is favorable for industrial processing.
