The Ficarazza variety belongs to the Apulian germplasm and is not the result of modern industrial breeding. In scientific research, it is studied primarily in the context of phytopathology and the conservation of almond genetic diversity.
The plant exhibits pronounced resistance to almond leaf spot: the infection level of the fungus Polystigma amygdalinum does not exceed 6%. This characteristic makes the variety potentially significant for use as a parent form in breeding programs for the development of new resistant varieties.
Precise morphological characteristics of the plant, such as height or maturity timing, as well as detailed parameters of fruit quality, are absent in open publications.
1 jurisdiction
Green indicates countries where the variety is listed in the national catalogue and its seeds are authorized for sale. Expired registrations are marked separately: the variety was previously admitted, but sale is no longer permitted.
