The Fiori variety is an autochthonous Sardinian cultivar that is not the result of industrial breeding, but belongs to the almond genetic biodiversity of the island. The fruits have a semi-soft shell and are suitable for use in the confectionery industry due to a high kernel yield of approximately 46.6%.
Flowering of this variety occurs in the period from February to early March, which is characteristic of local Sardinian varieties. The plant is adapted to Mediterranean climatic conditions, in particular to arid environments, and is traditionally cultivated on the island for nut production.
