The tree reaches a height of 4–6 meters and is well adapted to dry climates, calcareous soils, and low temperatures. The variety possesses drought tolerance, although young plants can be sensitive to severe water stress during the hot period.
Flowering is late, which protects the variety from spring frosts; harvesting is carried out from August to September. Fruits have a hard shell and a rounded shape; two kernels are often formed in one fruit. The variety shows resistance to the bacterium Xylella fastidiosa.
