The Ferrastar tree belongs to the category of vigorously growing. The variety is characterized by late flowering, which reduces the risks of flower damage by spring frosts, and belongs to the group of late-maturing plants. Exhibits moderate resistance to Monilinia.

The fruits of this variety have a hard shell. High indicators of fruit weight and kernel yield percentage make it suitable for commercial production. Ferrastar is used as a pollinator for Ferragnes, Ferraduel varieties and a number of Italian varieties, for example, Cristomorto.
