The Fita Mollar variety is an autochthonous landrace variety grown on Mallorca and Ibiza. The nuts have a large size, an elongated flat shape, and a pronounced coarse shell texture. Due to belonging to the soft-shell variety group, the fruits are easily cracked by fingers.

The kernels are characterized by a high yield, amounting to about 40–42%, with individual seed weight exceeding 1.5 g. The trees of the variety are well adapted to the Mediterranean climate. The variety is considered part of the local genetic pool and is being studied for resistance to pathogens, including Xylella fastidiosa.
