The FELLAMASA variety, also known by the synonym Casteltermini, is of Italian origin. It is a self-sterile plant with a mid-late flowering period. Fruit ripening in Italian conditions occurs in the first ten days of September.

The nuts have an elliptical shape and a semi-soft shell; the kernel percentage is about 43%. The weight of an individual kernel reaches approximately 1.6 g. A characteristic feature is the high proportion of double kernels, ranging from 10 to 20%, as well as slight wrinkling of the kernel surface.

The variety is part of the Italian gene pool and is traditionally cultivated in the Mediterranean region. In agronomic studies, this variety was used in experiments to study water consumption physiology and adaptation to drought conditions when testing various rootstocks.
