The variety was obtained by crossing the Carnival variety with an unnamed peach. The fruits are characterized by medium to large size, firm flesh structure, and are of the freestone type. The fruit surface is 70–80% covered with a dark-red blush over a yellow-golden ground color.
The tree of this variety has moderate vigor and is noted for good productivity. The variety is intended for commercial cultivation in orchards and is widely known under the trade name August Flame.
