The variety was obtained through breeding work as an open-pollinated seedling. The tree is characterized by medium vigor and an upright crown habit. In the conditions of the San Joaquin Valley, ripening occurs from May 5 to May 10.
The fruits have an average weight of about 208 g and a uniform shape. The surface is covered with a red blush over 65–85% of the area. The flesh is noted for its melting, crisp texture and a sugar content of 12 to 14.5 °Brix with a low level of malic acid.
The variety is intended for commercial cultivation using standard agrotechnical methods, including pruning, irrigation, and pest control.
