The rootstock is of hybrid origin related to Prunus dawyckensis and belongs to the Gembloux breeding group. It contributes to a reduction in the crown size of grafted trees by more than 40% compared to the vigorous rootstock F 12/1. Plants on this rootstock require staking in the first years after planting.

It is characterized by winter hardiness and low root suckering. In literature, incompatibility with some sweet cherry varieties has been noted, and in conditions of heavy calcareous soils, trees on this rootstock may show reduced yield and efficiency compared to analogues.
