The tree of this variety possesses good vigor and winter hardiness, but is sensitive to drought and recurring spring frosts. The fruits are large, round or slightly elongated in shape, and covered with thin skin ranging from light yellow to bright red in color, often with a marbled pattern. The light-colored flesh is very juicy and tender, possessing a balanced sweet and sour flavor.

The variety belongs to the mid-late maturity group. It is self-sterile and requires the presence of pollinator varieties, such as Montmorency, Griotte Ostheimer, or Belle de Chatenay. The variety is demanding of agricultural practices and soil fertility and can be moderately susceptible to fungal diseases.
