The variety is a clone selected from the Schattenmorelle variety. It belongs to the mid-season maturity group. The plant is characterized by particular suitability for cultivation in trained systems, including espaliers and wall-trained forms.
The primary use of the variety is related to the production of high-quality distillates. Agronomic studies show that the trees may have low yield due to pollination problems caused by a rapid flowering period and fruit set drop under unfavorable weather conditions.
