The tree is characterized by vigorous growth, winter hardiness, and the ability to bear fruit mainly on spur branches. The variety is considered more resistant to diseases and unfavorable environmental conditions than many sweet cherry varieties.

Fruits ripen in late June. They have tender, juicy flesh and dark colored juice; the stone is small. The taste is dessert-like, combining the sweetness of sweet cherry and characteristic sour cherry acidity.

The variety is partially self-fertile; therefore, for stable yields, the presence of other sour cherry or sweet cherry varieties in the orchard is recommended for cross-pollination.
