The rootstock is of Iranian origin and is a clone of Prunus cerasus. Trees grafted onto this rootstock reach a height of 3–4 meters, which is significantly less than when using standard rootstocks. Plants enter into bearing in the third year, reaching full productivity by the seventh year.

Plants on this rootstock are sensitive to drought, chlorosis on soils with a high pH level, PDV virus, root rot, and black cherry aphid infestation. The rootstock is characterized by moderate anchorage, therefore requiring the use of supports or trellises. The level of root sucker formation is estimated as low or moderate.

High yields when using this rootstock require control of the load on the trees, otherwise there is a risk of reduction in fruit size of the scion.
