Variety description

10 August 2026

The Damil rootstock was bred to reduce the vigor of the scion, which makes it suitable for intensive sweet cherry cultivation. In scientific literature, it is sometimes classified as Prunus dawyckensis.

When using this rootstock, its influence on the timing and intensity of scion flowering is noted. When working with Damil, compatibility issues with some sour cherry varieties may arise, which are corrected by agrotechnical methods.
