The Aunen Päärynä (Aune) variety is a vigorous tree adapted to challenging climatic conditions and the northern regions of Finland, where it is characterized as very winter-hardy.
The fruits of this variety are distinguished by their large size and round shape. The surface of the fruits is yellow-green, with a blush appearing on the sunny side. The ripening period occurs in September; the fruits are not intended for long-term storage.
