The tree grows intensively at a young age, with growth slowing down over time. It forms an ovoid-conical crown, often dense, with drooping branches. The variety is sensitive to frost and requires warm, protected sites. It shows susceptibility to scab and fire blight.
Fruits are medium to large in size, pear-shaped, sometimes with an uneven surface. The flesh is creamy white, very juicy, buttery, sweet with a slight wine-like aftertaste and aroma. The fruits are suitable for fresh consumption and processing. The variety has an incompatibility with quince rootstock and serves as a good pollinator for other varieties.
