The variety was bred in Switzerland at the Recherche Agronomique de Changins (RAC) station as part of a pear hybridization program. Genetically, the variety is a product of crossing the «Grand Champion» and «Président Héron» varieties.

Fruits of this variety are classified as winter, intended for long-term storage. In scientific publications and breeding research reports, the variety is mentioned as a promising breeding line, however, detailed agronomic characteristics of the tree are absent in available materials.
