The medium-sized fruits weighing 50–120 g have a round or pear-like shape. The skin is yellow-green, turning orange-yellow upon ripening, sometimes with a red blush on the sunny side. The white flesh is firm and coarse-grained, becoming mealy quickly when overripe.
The tree is noted for its health, beautiful crown shape, and decorative autumn foliage, which allows for its use in landscaping. Harvesting maturity occurs in mid-October. The fruits have a tart-sweet spicy taste, which becomes milder upon full ripening.
