Variety description

10 August 2026

The tree is of medium or vigorous growth, reaching 8–15 meters in height, with a broadly oval or dome-shaped crown. It is characterized by thin branches and long drooping fruit-bearing shoots, on which the fruits are often arranged in clusters resembling nests.

The fruits are medium-sized, round in shape, and greenish-yellow in color. When fresh, they are practically inedible due to the tough flesh and high tannin content, and possess a pronounced wine-like, spicy aroma. The variety is late-ripening; harvesting continues from mid-September to early November.

The fruits are prone to rapid softening after picking, therefore requiring prompt processing. The variety is considered thermophilic, prefers moist, nutrient-rich soils, and is not recommended for cultivation in high-altitude areas.

It is characterized by low susceptibility to scab, while being sensitive to fire blight and the disease 'pear decline'.
