The tree is vigorous and productive, performing best when grown in espalier form. The fruits are large and round in shape. At harvest time, the skin is light green, turning yellow upon ripening; it is often rough and may acquire a reddish hue in the sun.

The flesh is white, semi-fine, melting, and moderately juicy; the taste is sweet with a hint of acidity and a possible muscat note. This is a winter variety; harvest is carried out from late October to November, with consumption maturity occurring from December to January. The fruits can be stored until April.

The variety is sensitive to scab, is partially self-fertile, and can serve as a pollinator for other varieties. It is valued for fresh consumption and culinary use and is often utilized in breeding work to improve fruit quality and achieve late ripening dates.
