The tree is medium-sized, reaches 4–5 meters in cultivation, and often requires training into dwarf or espalier forms. The variety is considered demanding regarding growing conditions, possesses moderate winter hardiness and sensitivity to cold, and is susceptible to scab.
The fruits are large, blunt-ovoid or round in shape. The skin is light green, turning yellow upon ripening, often with russet spots and a reddish hue. The flesh is white or yellowish-white, melting, tender, juicy, very sweet, with a muscat aroma. The fruits ripen from January to April.
