The variety is a vigorous tree with a wide-crowned, well-branched form, suitable for cultivation on trellises. The harvest period falls between the end of August and the beginning of October. The plant is characterized by hardiness, is adapted to various soil types, and is resistant to wind.

The fruits are large, barrel-shaped or ovoid-globular. Upon ripening, the skin turns yellow with gray dots and the possible appearance of a blush. The flesh is white, juicy, semi-melting, and has a sweet taste with slight acidity. The variety is intended for dessert consumption and has a short shelf life.

The variety has historical significance and is used primarily in amateur and collection gardening.
