Variety description

The tree is low- to medium-vigour, forming a sparse crown with low branching tendency. Relatively resistant to diseases, but tolerates harsh winters poorly and may suffer frost damage. Develops well on wild pear rootstock.

Summer variety, fruits ripen in mid- to second half of August. Fruits are large, weighing 200–270 g, of broad elongated pear shape. Skin is thin, straw-yellow in color, sometimes with a red blush. Flesh is white-yellow, juicy, sweet, slightly acidic, melting, with a pleasant aroma.

The variety is self-infertile, requires pollinators such as Williams, Clapp's Favorite, Beurré Bosc, and others. Yields are regular and abundant. When harvested at optimal times, fruits store for 2–3 months, prone to shedding upon ripening. Used fresh and for drying.
