The fruits are obovate in shape with a greenish-yellow skin color, and their size varies from medium to large. The variety is intended for dessert consumption in the winter period and features good keeping quality, surpassing the Passe Colmar variety.

The trees possess winter hardiness and a vigorous, upright habit. The variety is productive, performs well when grafted onto quince, and is characterized by early bearing. In old pomological literature, the variety was often confused with Flemish Beauty and Josephine.
