The tree of this variety is distinguished by vigorous growth and forms a sparse crown, yet it is considered short-lived. The variety matures in mid-to-late July and is one of the earliest among summer pears.
The fruits are small or medium-sized and conical in shape. The skin of the fruit is greenish-yellow, sometimes with a slight blush. The flesh is described as juicy, tender, and sweet, with a pleasant aroma.
The variety has a number of marked disadvantages: the fruits have delicate skin, overripen quickly, become mealy, and cannot withstand transportation. Trees are sensitive to low temperatures, prone to fruit drop, and are frequently affected by fire blight.
1 jurisdiction
Green indicates countries where the variety is listed in the national catalogue and its seeds are authorized for sale. Expired registrations are marked separately: the variety was previously admitted, but sale is no longer permitted.
