The tree grows vigorously at a young age, forming a light pyramidal crown that becomes compact with age. The wood is characterized by increased fragility. The leaves on new growth are broadly oval, and on older branches, they are narrowly oval with an elongated tip.
The fruits are small, ranging from flat-round to pear-shaped. The skin is smooth, green or yellow-green in color, with slight russeting. The flesh is greenish-white or yellowish-white, juicy, with a sweet-and-sour taste and a specific spice. The seed core is spindle-shaped, surrounded by stone cells.
