The Herfstpeer van Geulle variety, also known as Herbstbirne aus Geulle, is a traditional processing pear historically common in the Limburg region. The harvest period falls in August, while the fruits rapidly lose quality after ripening and are not suitable for long-term storage.

The plant has a high yield. In the past, the variety was actively used for industrial processing, in particular for creating thick fruit concentrate. Currently, the variety is considered rare and is preserved mainly within the framework of biodiversity maintenance programs.
