The tree is characterized as weak- to medium-growing with a narrow-pyramidal crown. The variety enters the bearing period early; however, its yield can be unstable, and flowering is self-sterile. The plant is sensitive to unfavorable environmental conditions, has low winter hardiness, and requires fertile, well-moistened soils.
The fruits are large, reaching a weight from 200 to 800 grams and more, having a truncated-pyriform or obtuse-conical shape with a knobby surface. The firm skin changes color upon ripening from greenish to golden-yellow with russet spots. The flesh is yellowish-white, juicy, with a wine-like flavor.
Harvesting is carried out in September, after which the fruits require ripening for 15–20 days. When used as a quince rootstock, the variety often exhibits incompatibility, requiring intermediate grafting.
