The tree is characterized by moderately vigorous growth; in the early years, it has an upright habit, which becomes spreading or drooping with age. The variety comes into bearing relatively early, providing regular annual yields.
The fruits are medium-sized, varying in shape from pyriform to rounded-conical. The thin skin changes color from greenish to yellow upon ripening and is often covered with brownish russeting. The flesh is characterized by high juiciness, buttery texture, musky aroma, and high sugar content.
The variety is an autumn one; fruits are ready for harvest in late September and are consumed in October. It is intended primarily for fresh consumption. To obtain high-quality fruits, it requires cultivation in sheltered, sunny locations.
