The variety Manteiga de Ouro, also known as Mantecosa de Oro, is an old autochthonous variety widespread in Spain. The tree has weak to medium vigor and forms an upright, compact crown.
The plant is a productive table variety. Flowering occurs from late April to early May. Currently, the variety is mainly grown in private plots and is considered an object for the conservation of genetic diversity.
