CH 201
ActivePyrus communis L. · European pear
EST. PRODUCTIVO DE DANILO CHRISTEN
10 August 2026
The tree of this variety is distinguished by moderate growth, forming a highly pyramidal dense crown with weakly branched, tightly adhering branches. The variety enters into fruit-bearing in the 2–3 year and demonstrates stable yield.
The fruits have a pear-shaped or bottle-shaped form, often with a characteristic five-sided unevenness. The skin is covered with golden or zinc russeting, occupying a significant part of the surface. The fruits hold firmly on the tree and ripen in the period from mid-September to November.
The fruit flesh is buttery, tender, with a sweet or wine-sweet taste. The variety is intended for fresh consumption, as well as for processing into juices, compotes, and jams, however, it is distinguished by a short shelf life.
