Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is late winter, harvest is collected at the end of September — October. Fruits are stored from November to February or March. The tree is of moderate growth, reaching 5–8 meters depending on the rootstock; on quince rootstock growth can be weak.

Fruits are medium-large or large, weighing 220–300 g, blunt-conical in shape, often asymmetrical. Skin is yellowish-green, becoming golden-yellow upon ripening, a light blush and russeting around the stalk are possible. Flesh is yellowish-white, juicy, melting, taste is spicy with a moderate sweet-and-sour note and astringency.

The variety is demanding of growing conditions, needs fertile soils and sunny sites protected from the wind. It enters the flowering period early, serves as a good pollinator for other varieties. Recommended pollinators are Bergamotte d'Esperen, Beurré Diel, and Winter Nelis.
